??? Why does Ducati's MotoGP bike run without a front fender ???

I have a dumb answer for you - cuz I never even noticed it before. Do the other manufacturers do the same?

Maybe it is to prevent lift...????

Rumor says its to help with cooling the engine.

Cooling makes seems like a good answer, but I must admit I also didn't notice lack of fender.

I didn't notice either - which is funny to me, because the lack of a front fender in pics of older GP machines from the 60's and 70's always catches my eye.

I wonder if it is partly that heritage being carried forward as well as airflow or cooling management.

Interesting.

I went thru a lot of the photos on my screensaver. Most of the promotional pics and the testing pics they are using a fender. And they raced with one at Suzuka. It looks like the later races they did not use one, except at Assen where it was raining.
