I plan on being there. I had a post on the clubs forum for about a month before I heard any from anybody. I live over the mountains in TN, and ride through the area occasionally. Saw the meet on a flyer down in Helen, GA a month or so back.

To anyone who hasn't ridden in this area, it is absolutly beautiful. Great rides everywhere.

Nope, due to increased traffic enforcement around suches, dahlonega they moved event to Holiday Inn Express at Hiawassee.

About 80 miles northeast of Atlan on the TN? border, from Gainesville, GA take 129 north then either 180 or 76 to take you to Hiawassee.

Hiawassee is a stone's (or bomb's) throw south of Murphy NC where they recently arrested the Clinic Bomber.

Neighboring western county to Rabun County Ga (where they filmed the movie "Deliverence").

Highly recommend Enrico's Restaurant in Young Harris if you want normal food that is "NYC Little Italy good" and not swimming in lard, salt or sugar like the standard diet staples of the hills. Yup real Eye-Talian in the hills does finally exist that isn't a damn chain operation

Best, absolute BEST BBQ ribs are at Bubba's outdoor roadside on Rte 129 and Nottely Dam Road (Rte 325) just north of Blairsville. The "slab of ribs" is hickory smoked and done better than any area sit down inside restaurant. The sauce is on the side and you don't need it, the ribs stand on their own.

The roads up in N. Ga/West Carolina/East Tenn. are the hands-down best on the eastern seaboard.

Have fun look out for road wash and gravel
