I got them back yesterday and I could barely bring myself to put them on the bike. This is the result:

These things look so ****ing good it was painful putting them on... He painted them so well he ruined them!!! No longer usable!!!! I want to hang them on the wall in the apartment under some lights and gaze at them all day long... I'm afraid to ride the bike now because I don't want anything to ding, nick or scratch this stuff.... the attention to detail is AMAZING... they turned out WAY better than I was expecting. Backstory:
I highsided on the dragon back in august and took this opportunity to do some mods to the bike... powdercoating the clutch and alternator covers, valve and camshaft covers, and rearsets. I also bought some carbon fiber bodywork (tank, tail and fairing) and sent them off to Nate to get them painted.

I got the tank off e-bay for $800. It had a seeping leak over the airbox and the clearcoat was in bad shape, which was ok because I wanted to paint it anyways. Nate POR-15ed the tank and painted it.

I got a CF tail off e-bay as well, and had it shipped to Nate directly. I didn't know this, but it had a small chip in the resin where I wanted to put the stripe. We decided to put a ducati logo over it.

I can't recommend Nate enough to anyone who wants their bike painted. Nate should talk about what he had to do with the tank, apparently it was a retarded amount of work to get all the old clear off...

That sure is a lot of cf to paint over, it does look incredible though [thumbsup].

Are those Buell head lights? Just curious, they look great and remind me of my old xb12.

Just when I was going to ask to see more pics!! [laugh]

The best part is the Ducati Monster going down the CF on the cowl. Nice touch!

The headlights are made from BMW angel eye headlights by a guy on here named Abhi.

Cheap, bright, and a snap to install.

LOL..I just read that part! I know EXACTLY how you feel Drag!! After Landshark painted mine..I was so worried about riding it. Of course, in the first few hours of getting it assembled..I got caught in the rain!!

Is that the Desmosideci red??

It's just Ducati red... I didn't know the D16 was a different color. Maybe Nate can shed some light on this.

Beautiful, I love paint over carbon, especially the way the lettering and stripes appear recessed. Awesome job [thumbsup] [thumbsup]
