Did you tell her you had stopped paying on your life insurance plan? I would think quality gear would not be a hard sell, but when it comes to part that only make the bike look better to me and no run any different. Now that is a hard sell.

The formula, or how it worked out in my case was:

Ducati base price x 153 = required increase in life insurance

Ducati aftermarket parts (7k) x 4 = new furniture purchases.

Gotta hand it to the wife, however. She says "whatever makes you happy"! So it's a win-win. I am broker than the state of California, however! Ok, maybe not that broke! ;D

The way I see it there is no ammount of stuff I could get for my bike to equal more than a womans life expenses:

Shoes
Makeups
Clothes
Purses (seperate from clothes because they are $$$$$)
Hair Cuts and colors



Then add in all the BS we have to purchase to make them happy:

Eating out
Movies
Drinks
Flowers
Trips out of town
Plays


THEN add in the cost of NOT being able to watch what you want on TV but rather:

Will and Grace
Queer Eye for the Straight guy


Also add in how much you have to listen to them talk about:

Sisters
Friends
New skin procedures


PLUS add in how much you have to hear them BITCH about

Sisters
Your Friends



And boys, in my mind that = a lot of COIN. So buy those FEBUR SSS kits, buy those carbon fenders, get those tanks painted up, put on SBK forks, buy OHLINS...buy whatever the HELL you want. ;D

a good friend of mine sat a at a family dinner with all the men and women.they were talking about men & women spending $$$i.e women shopping and men with their toys. he summed it up like this. let your husbands have toys i.e. xbox ps2 bikes model cars etc.. it keeps them home and its tangible stuff. it could be worse they could be blowing $$$ at a strip club... after that, all of us got toys within a 2 month period.
