I've heard of Rizzon...they're about 15 minutes away from me...unfortunately, haven't used them yet as I still don't have a bike..However, I am gonna be calling them today b/c I am getting my bike next weekend and need to have them check it over to make sure everything is ok before I complete the purchase...I will let you know how their service is

I Know I'm answering this a little late, but I just discovered this site and signed on. If you're looking for a shop in the NY/NJ area go to Rizzone Cycle in Middlesex NJ. I've been with them since I bought a 916 in '97, and I won't let anyone else touch my bike (I now ride a very tricked out 2001 M S4). If I remember right they've been a Duc dealer since '85 and not only do they know their stuff, but they're good people. When I got my 916 back in '97 I new what bike I wanted so I shopped for a dealer I liked and could trust. I've never regreted my choice and always recomend them, even if you're far away they're worth the trip. They're number is 732-271-1616.

Re: Ducati Tech/Shops in NYC area - Cycle Therapy

Beg to differ on Cycle Therapy being good, they're way overpriced for accessories. I called them to ask about the 6k valve checkup, done, they didnt know what I was talking about, saying it doesn't need it. Better places to go.

How did they rip you off? Not that I am going to come to defend them, I am just curious since I personally consider any Ducati shop, as a rule, to be a rip off.

Great experience at Rizzon's Cycle in Middlesex. Cycle Connection caters by their own admissions to New York City types and expectedly they have higher fees.....

Apparently according to the sales manager there, they sell a lot of bikes both to people commuting into the city for work or living and working in the city. I found their new bike prices to be about $500 more than other dealers in the NJ area.....

The best place to take a Duc in NJ is to AMOL.

They do not over-charge for parts or labor and are very friendly.

Rizzon and Cycle Connection wanted $160 for a rear Dunlop tire....Amol got the tire for $130.

Same with parts charges for oil changes.....AMOL is always the best price and they do great work!

since you asked about NYC ... I do not know how good they are and have not used them (only been opened for 6 months or so), but I have seen a bunch of Ducs being serviced at the Aprilla shop in SoHo- I think it's on Spring st.
