for that kind of coin, i'd honestly rather get an aluminum tank from roadracing. save some weight and they look pretty cool too.
or a carbon tank and then save some more nickels and dimes for some painting.

Seriously, for that level of cash, I'd go with the aluminum tank.
If you drop your bike and that CF tank hits, I'm pretty sure it'll either split or "window". That, and I don't think Norm can fix 'em... ;)

Evan made the tank on my CB 750. Great work. Check out his italian bikes he has a killer 916.
