Oh, you want opinions.... In my opinion, centerstands belong on BMWs, not Ducatis. :p

OK, that's not too helpful. Andrew Wright, on the mailing list, had one on his M750. You might try over there.

Call me a pussy. I have one on my bike. Bought used. It was already installed.

After 12,00 mi, it's almost completely siezed up! Rust.

I've gotta take the damned thing off. I could clean it and repaint it, or leave it off and finally by a pit stand. I think I'll get a new stand.

Otherwise, works fine and protected the left side can when I went down on that side.

I had the dealer order and install one on my '03 620. Wasn't cheap but you always have it with you (unlike a pit stand!). The biggest problem is hauling the bike onto it. It's no BMW centerstand! But, being out on a long ride, it is much easier to do chain maintenance.

unless you go on cross-country rides, I wouldn't bother. Chances of you needing it on the short rides are pretty low. For the garage - rear and front stands are more useful
