That happened a while ago. Not a new news item - sorry

I think I heard about it at some point during the summer or fall of 2005.

I haven't tested their response speed personally, but...

...I'm going out on a limb here and guessing it'll take longer to come from Italy than somewhere on this continent.

DucSea - faster and at greater shipping cost or just regular ol' faster?

It actually takes less time to get parts from Italy then to get them from DNA.

Ah, so us Italians are actually good for something other than grinding semolina into macaroni. hee hee

AFAIK there were no across the board price increases due to the switch.

Last time I ordered Ducati parts from BikeBandit, they took forever and the parts that weren't available from Italy ended up coming from Ducati Seattle. Go figure.

Why? You can bring up a microphish drawing of your bike and order the EXACT piece that you are looking for. Other than the dealer, where else can you do that? If you know of a better place, I'd love to know where.

Ducati genuine parts are available only at official Ducati dealers.

Yes, like I said, the only other place is at the dealer. My dealer is 50 miles away. That's the closest one. BikeBandit may not be the greatest, but if I need an OEM part, I'd rather order from them than the dealer.

Ducati Seattle isn't just a "dealer", they're an enthusaist support center. Buy from them, not Bike Bandit.

Well, my bike is new so I haven't purchased anything from Bandit. Does Seattle have a website? Hopefully, it will be quite some time before I actually need OEM parts...besides brakes pads, clutch plates and other normal wear and tear stuff. I don't have any devotion to Bandit, so there's no worries here. I have a full parts manual at home, so one day, if I ever needed a part, I'm sure I can plug the number into a search engine and find it.

What Chris said. I started ordering stuff from Duc Sea about the time of the warehouse shutdown. I have truly been getting parts faster through them from Italy than the old system through my dealer.

They are enthusiasts. When I tell whomever is on the phone I'm so and so from Merritt Island. FL and start discussing what I need or if something needs adjusting from the last order, they remember me and focus all their efforts on my order. Can't ask for more than that. I've pretty much shifted all my purchases from my nearest dealer to Ducati Seattle because I get what I need quicker and without having to lead a parts guy through the process.

Usually within a week for things ordered by my dealer

Okay, great. Seattle it is then. Do they have a website?
