I did the mod on an extra set of can's I bought and Oh Hell Ya this is how a Ducati should sound. Not to loud but just enough to get someones attention and a nice snarly sound coming off the gas I love it although I don't know how the wife is going to take it she kind of had a little fit when I told her what I was up to she didn't want me to ruin the sound she liked it I said it would be the same just a little louder. I guess I'll find out tomorrow. It also didn't seem to afect the bike in any negative way started up and ran finebut I think I'll have them check to see how the fuel mixture is.

Enjoy!
I've never heard a Duc that was too loud. ;D

I had Strati do mine last year. It increased my enjoyment of riding the bike 100%. If you haven't yet, get someone else to ride it by while you listen to it come up the street. I think of the sound as "Something Wicked This Way Comes".

what did you do?
i shortened mine by half.. cored, left the small pre silencer, fitted some stainless straight pipe in over it.
so now it has staight pipe through the can to the exit..
i think it sounds great.. i have never heard it off the bike though.
no complaints from neighbors... they have loud pipes to.
