I had no idea that Sunday was going to be the best weather on earth. I decided to head to the canyons in Malibu around 3 in the afternoon.

Here's my ride report

PCH from Venice to Malibu was a parking lot. I couldn't get my bike out of 2nd gear. Eventually I just turned around and went home. The ride was about 2 hours long, and I went probably 15 miles round trip.

:-((

i'm in the marina and don't even bother trying to ride around the beach on the weekends. too many tourists (LA residents) not knowing where they are going looking for that 1 in a million chance for a parking spot. it's like riding through cattle or something.

Rode Saturday,
I checked my tires and they seemed low, I was at 24 PSI in both.
No wonder my bike has been handling like CRAP.
Also had to charge my battery.

I took the Bouquet Canyon to Leona Valley to San Francisquito Canyon run. (with 36psi)

Great Ride and great handling....Finally

jpsdark - I bet I've seen you around, I've seen someone with a dark on Admiralty Way a few times. I saw someone on Saturday on a FOGGY..with a little benie helmet as well.

inforage1 - yeah dude, 1st time I could actually RIDE IT and I still haven't been on any real turns yet. I tell you what, with this clip-on/fork arrangment it sure is quick to turn. So far I like it, and I'd like to say it's closer to what I "like" but it's been so long since I was on my ZX-6r that i couldn't tell for sure.

Took the SS out and met up with some other riders that my other friend with a monster knew at about 8:30. Blasted through Highland, through Julian and then through Sunrise. Kinda windy on the way up to Sunrise. Shot out of the 8 right after. Minimal traffic all the way through. It was really windy on the 8 as well. Beautiful weather, though. Wasn't too hot, but almost good enough to start to sweat. Does anybody know a good loop that would start and end at Highland or elswhere off the 15? I've heard of Lyons and Wildcat, but am not sure how to make it all loop.

I rode on Sun. and did Azusa Canyon, then went across the bridge and up to Glendora Ridge Road. A little dirt here and there, but overall pretty decent conditions.

Did Lake Hughes to San Fran. It was too windy to try out any of my new heroics...

BTW Kevin, how are the two new kids, the S4 and the little human? ;D

I did Lil' T and Lake Huges on Saturday. Couldn't have asked for more beautiful weather. Bouquet is great for putting some fresh scuffs on the sliders. ;D Lake Hughes is FAST

Malibu is really only worth it on Saturdays or weekdays.

if you go up highland valley and take the first left at the
top (bandy canyon i think) you hook up with 78 at the
bottom of the hill. go across 67 in ramona out towards
S.D. country estates and you can take a right onto
wildcat canyon (that may not be the correct name at
that intersection).

my recent experience with wildcat has bee WAY too many
yobs going to the casino ... be careful. a good road for
this time of year is the montezuma grade down and
back to borrego. or head east from aguanga toward
idyllwild or palm desert. the road north from idyllwild
toward the 10 is great too. there's also 94 from
el cajon all the way out to the intersection with 8.
