DeVal Ski/snowboard trip?

i would be interested

If I can leave on a Sat and come home Sunday night Im all in for some good group snowboarding action.

i'm down, depending on where of course

I've never done either, but would be game. If they have snow tubing that would be cool as Sarah would enjoy that.

Weee...boarding trip would be cool depending on the destination. [thumbsup] Haven't been in a year or 2 so I'd need to get back up and riding before hand.

Hell, I'd have to rent my gear. I sold my board 8 years ago when I left for the navy.

I've got the personal gear though. We get free mountain/gear passes to Liberty on Wednesdays during the winter.

i was thinking cameltoeback or possibly blue, they are kinda close and not too bad. just gotta watch it on the weekend cause they get crowded. i figured we could stay somewhere nearby and just go back to the hotel and crash/drink.

i dont' want to have to drive more than 3 hrs to get there.

I've been to a few of the resorts within 4-6 hours of here, in the poconos my favorite cause it is not as busy and has a brand new lodge and hotel is beer creek, blue is meh.....gets mobbed and I didn't like the layout of that mountain. Jackfrost bbd are ok, I like beer creek better then them...

Granted its north of us but greek peek is nice too but that is in cortland ny.....I crashed there and was bleeding all over the place, my heel edge HIT THE BACK OF MY HEAD! you could see my skull it was so rad....hurt like hell, they had to staple my head shut.

bear creek or beer creek? i wouldn't mind beer creek =)

i would like to avoid driving mroe than 3 hrs to get to where we are going. most of the NY places are out because of that.

the township is making a sledding hill across the street from me to keep the kids out of the drianage basins this winter... if it snows you're welcome to come, bring the kiddies [laugh]

It's worth a stop if you're in the area and we have snow. Expect crowds, though. People park along the road because the parking lot fills up.
