Taking off the charcoal canister and crankcase vent setup...just cleans up a lot of stuff...the hardest thing to track down is a K&N crankcase vent filter... and actually figuring out which parts come off. Hint ... plug holes as you take stuff apart!!!

www.ducatisuite.com has a decent description.

OK let me see if I can do this from memory....

Everything under the rear seat disappears but the reg/rec and whatever you use to mount it (I used aluminum stock)

It takes the carbon canister from the right side and all of the hoses that go with it.

You replace two hoses with 5m stainless screws

run two vent tubes from tank individually or into a "Y" connector

This will leave you with a drain hole in your airbox to plug
and the cranckcase vent to put a filter on. You can also remove the front drain from the airbox also.

I left mine out of laziness!

I have a pic of the reg/rec setup I used.. I'll post it tomorrow.

I used the charcoal canister mount and just cut it to shape with a dremel tool instead of buying spacers.

I used to cheapest metod possible and made a lot of my own inginuity and labor

yep that reply sounds right on.

I've only done 1/2, removal of the can on the right side rearset which captures gas vapor. The look is WAY cleaner and from what I can tell moving the plastic box under the seat helps cool the regulator.

As a side note removal of the can allows you to start removing several of the frame tie wraps. I'm going to sit down soon and see about getteing rid of all the ties by relocating wiring.

remove everything that isn't necessary makes for a happy duc!

Be very careful.. the '02 models are very picky.. I tried that and ended up with a short in the wiring harness... just a word of caution.
