I just got to thinking about some designs for a future helmet and had some questions. BARE WITH ME ON THIS.

Is there a way you could get high quality print/stickers made and then have them attached to the helmet and glossed over? The reason I as is that I'd like to do the design digitally rather than have someone paint it by hand. I don't think hand painted it going to get me the level of detail or complexity I have in mind.

Thoughts?

There is a company in the desert in Cali called Area 51 they do custom everything in paint. They are very private and deal with an elite clientale.... If you get my drift ;) I can give you the email offline. They are completly prostyle :)

That's interesting, I'd love to find out more about this. I can't airbrush ANYTHING but I can do something in Photoshop that would be really cool. Does anyone have any links to companies that can print stickers. I'd guess the thinner the better.

I think many factory helmets are vinyl graphics under clear, and not paint.
cheap helmets arent even cleared.
stickerguy.com did a good job on the DML stickers, dont know if they do one-offs.
might try tapeworks too.
lemme know what you find out, i have something i need made too.

Newbie q from the old days,
can you nowadays put any sticker to any helmet and not worry about the glue or the sticker itself to soften or ruin the hardness factor of the helmet ?

I need to put some stickers somewhere from the trip put the bike has no room so helmet is an option.

Skier :p
