Crash Pads / Bungs Monster 900Sie

Hi all,

my other half has a M900 MY2000 and after an accident last year the tank needed repairing and repainting which was a ... PITA.

So the question is, would Crash Pads on the frame have prevented this (if so which ones) or do they not really do much or worse, breaking motor mounts, which i have also seen.

Thanks for any advice.

hard to say the outcome with crashpads
however
i would rather fix what damage you had over losing the frame form a concentrated whack coming from a guard that is mounted in one spot and not evenly distributed like a real engine guards.
sport bike guys made them popular to save $1000s and $1000s of fairings
Yeah, that is my concern. I have seen lots of people have broken crank cases from the crash bungs on a naked Ducati, though i think the "newer" style bungs are designed to break off before that happens.

Hi
Do you have any links to some of the broken crank case because of bungs?...Im on the fence at the moe, I have a set on my m900 and in my searching Ive found that its a mixed bag of opinions but most who have tested em the hard way say they felt they were better off than if they didn't have them....
