Two weeks ago tomorrow I rode my carb'd m900 from my apt to a heatedgarage about 8 miles away. Overnight temp was right around freezing. Around 9:00AM it was prob 42 degrees. Started bike with choke and let run for about 2 minutes and started bringing choke down. Engine stalled. I kept restarting bike for next ten minutes and it was idling very roughly. Had to get going so I set off. Bike was just not itself. No power and would stall during donwshifting at traffic lights. Continued to run very roughly for next 20 miunutes. Been travelling and haven't seen bike in 2 weeks. Going there tomorrow hoping for best. Admittedly, idle is somewhat low. Any ideas? Strictly cold-weather related? Carb icing? Any thoughts?? Thanks.

Water in fuel? Sounds like the symptoms to me. Good luck!

if all else fails check the plugs.. could be?

carb icing happens while you are riding at part throttle. you can check for water in your fuel by draining your carbs into a container (prefferably transparent) and look for water.
