Through the years Ducati has had some really cool designs. I'm thinking of putting the wings and "D" on my tank when it is painted to replace the common DUCATI. What are some of you guys favorite looking ducati logo's that would be cool for a gas tank? Just wondering if you could post, the logo, and some comments/ advice.

I really like the flying D. Would make a cool tatoo as well.

In terms of font, I like "Ducati" in the CAGIVA font and in the double-line font.

Thanks guys, I'm not really interested in buying decals or badges for the tank, I'm just interested in designs, and paticularly ones you guys like. The guy who is doing all my bodywork can paint on pretty much whatever I want, so I just have to do a design. I'm still thinking about the wings, though its been cool to see the others too.

I thought that the double-winged or eagle logo would look cool if made larger and modernized a bit. Perhpas just the outlines in white on a black tank. Hmmm... winter project list just got a bit longer... Damn you Wheelie!

Sometime in the future I'm going to have my tank repainted because of a dent caused by the previous owner. This will be the opportunity to use a different tank decal and make the bike a little more individual. I plan on keeping the tank red. The older winged D is one of my favorites.

I also like this one too (BTW, it's not my tank).

I saw that one, and it got me back on the trail of doing this. I was serious about it a while back, but then I saw that red tank, (I think it was on e bay?) and here we go again. By the way my tank is yellow.

I'm thinking I'll do the wings with the old ducati logo underneath. I might do the lil wings at the top of the seat, or the made in italy circular flag logo. Anyways coool

Another really sweet tank decal (one of the ones that I'm considering along with the first two). It would look really nice on a red tank too; with a good clearcoat. ;D
