Hi guys just did my first clutch change on my ducati 696 and now that I have changed it its worse than before I changed it. I put it in dry like some people say on you tube and then I took it back out and put it in oiled up each one and same thing not going at all when I shift in first it moves ever so slightly second and third just slips... im thinking about putting the old clutch in and seeing if it's the clutch that I bought or if I've done something wrong in the change over :( any help would be awesome guys... thanking u in advance....

I just did the clutch on my 796 last week and I very nearly put the pressure plate back on the wrong way.
It will fit three ways (every 120 degree), but only one way is correct. AFIK in the incorrect position you will not load the clutch plates enough.
See the manual note here:

Automotive tire Automotive lighting Font Rim Automotive wheel system

It's a long shot, I know, but maybe helps?
