Okay, at the risk of sounding like a doofus, How do i undo the clutch hub nut on a 94 900?.
I assume the nut goes anti clockwise to loosen.
but to what torque do they do them up at the factory?.

I made up a holder to stop the counter shaft from turning and applied a force to the nut via a 17mm hex and 1/2" drive strong arm but the thing will not budge.
Ive tried this method on my older ducati (bevel drive) and it worked fine 'cept the engine was still in the frame using top gear and holding the brake on.
have I missed something or am I going the wrong way?
thanks.

daniel, I think that the manual says something like 117 ft lbs. if I recall correctly. Someone please correct me on this. I can't imagine how tight they would be from the factory and years of riding and heat, etc. Dave

it goes on with a locking compound so give the nut some heat to break down the locking compound and go at it with an impact wrench. so easy, you'll wonder why you didn't use one earlier.
