Mix up some water with a little dish soap. Pull the open end away from the bar and pour a little of the solution in. Start working the grip off the bar from the open end (this will help expand the grip a little and work the solution down towards the end of the bar). Add solution as needed. You can use the same solution when applying the grips. Avoid petroleum based fluids.

The other method is to use grip solvent for golf clubs.

Another glorious 75-degree day in Phx!! Rode to work. For the grips, shoot some WD-40 under there and they'll slide right off.

Your Mojo doesn't work on me.

When it's 120 there and 75 here, you'll be singin' another tune.

It's the SF and SF guys who make me sick!

San Fransicso and Sante Fe.

Yeah, I know that it snows in Santa Fe, but the roads are much better than around Abq. The Gila is awesome, but i've only raced bicycles there.

Problem is he can't do that.

The '03 bikes have the bar risers cast in so he's left with two protrusions. Yech.

Some have cut them off. A lathe is useful for clean-up.

Otherwise you buy an aftermarket tripple. The catch is, I don't know of any available yet. In the fullness of time.....

BtW, I used short button-heads to fill my holes. They look neater than cap screws and no washers were needed. Check your local H/W store for stainless metric hardware. Forget Home Despot, but an Ace or neighborhood store should have some selection.

I actually gave cycle cat a call and spoke to one of their techs not too long ago. they are working on the new triple clamp for the 03's, but it probably won't be ready until the early spring. they said they have gotten a lot of phone calls from people asking about it. so, they are trying to respond to that demand by moving forward with development sooner rather than later. when i spoke to them, they were still working on trying to digitize the design.

Oops! I missed that Saint's bike is an '03. :-[

I looked for button-heads for my triple but couldn't find any (that was my first choice). The bolts in the pic are from ACE. I'll have to keep looking because I much prefer the look of the button-heads. 8)
