I'm thinking of getting some clip-ons. I wanted to get some opinions of what clip-ons seem to work best.

Got a question, for the S4, cycle cat has a system that is adjustable. The question is, I'm curious as to how much lower the bars will be.....in that, does the bars agle from really high to low, and the low point being measures, or is it more flat from the fork...


Can I just use a 50 mm clip on and mount it under the tripple ?

i really like the adjustability in angle of the cycle cats. they're lower than the stock bars on my m620 but much more comfortable because of the angle.

Cycle Cat doesn't recommend that you mount there DBR-13 under the top clamp on the S4 because of interferance w/ the "ears" that stick out the side of the top clamp. Some pwople have done this w/o problems.

Cycle Cat has the specs for bar adjustability of there S4 clipons on their website. If you want to mount clipons below the top clamp there seems to be issues w/ the headlight bracket and mounting non riser type of clipons below the top clamp. Go to www.ducatipipemod.com and look at what Strati has gone through for mounting options.

I am following his lead and using the DP monster clipons mounted under the top clamp, I hope it works the way I want it to!

Use the Cycle Cat clip on adapter for the Monster S4. Then you can pretty much put any clip-on on the bike. I have it and it looks great.

I guess my main thing is that I'd like to lower the position a bit. about 1-2 inches would be nice. So if I get the cycle cat one, I'm still curious as it looks like a riser system

These are the clip-ons I installed on my bike. I don't know how they stack up to Cat-Eyes (since I've never tried a set) but they do work well for me (I'm 6'2"). Plus, they were only $125 from MotorWheels. Fit is going to be an individual thing.

thanks vincent/. I'd like to go that route, but the S4 has some messed up top parts of the fork.

This was fixed months ago! The clamp was moved forward so it won't interfere with the headlight bracket. Cycle Cat can't try every conceivable combination of parts so people need to be a little creative there are lots of ways of using parts that aren't exactly as they were intended. If you do something original you need to take the responsibility.
