I'm not near my bike to closely scrutinize the situation, but before putting it away last year I was fooling around with a set of flat bars and it seemed as if the front brake line was going to be a bear to route when I decided on a set of clip-ons.
It didn't seem to want to flex enough.
I think it was where the line mounts under the headlight.
(I don't remember clearly...it's been a loooong winter ;) )

Your experiences?

When I put clip ons on my bike I had to remove the headlight and move wire and cables around. I also had to adjust the throttle cable to prevent it from binding. It was a matter of trial and error and just taking a look and seeing that everything is going to work in its new position. Since the clip ons are shorter than the stock bars the brake cable will take a serious bend unless you reroute the cables. The bars I put on are from 2000 900SS so they are pretty short though.
Speaking of which, does anyone know where to get longer bars to fit into the 900SS clamps? It would help me space things out.
