charging battery

So, yesterday I park the bike at work and leave the damn parking lights on all day (about 9 hours), battery totally dead but have been jump starting the bike to get around. Questions for the board --can I get enough charge back into the battery by taking her for a good long ride? Should I buy a battery tender and charge it up or am i going to need a new battery entirely?

You can get a battery tender and charge it overnight, it'll be fine.

Did you use the kill-switch to turn it off?
