i had to notch out a little section for the frame on my 02. used a dremel, mask, gloves, and full length sleeves. from what i've heard you don't want to inhale or touch cf dust.
There is only one side panel available for the monster.
If you want to trim the CF, trim it next to a shop vac hose (turned on of course). It will suck up all the CF dust as you trim. The stuff trims up very easy with a dremel tool.
There also seems to be some variation in the Carbon fiber and Ducatis since both are handmade.
Thanks for your input guys. I trimmed about a 1" x 1/4" notch out of the carbon fiber with wire cutters. No mess, no dust, no problems. Now I'm hooked though, the front and rear huggers are going to have to become carbon soon...
