Is it normal to smell gas after removing the charcoal canister?
I plugged the two outlet hoses and the main plug (which leads to the front of the bike, used to mount atop the canister) dangles under the swingarm, along with the breather hose. Is that hose the culprit? What should be done?
I was thinking of adding a small filter to cover it but notice sometimes there is are "liquid" remnants there. ???
What do you cats suggest?
I wanna post flick but I use a computer in the school library that won't allow cables to be attached to the computers. Hope I explained well enuf for a response.

That's the main reason the can was there, to recover fumes. You took the can off, the fumes have to go somewhere.

Does that mean you shouldn't smoke and ride?

Definitely. If you use an open face helmet, or no helmet, the ashes get in your eyes. If you use a closed face helmet, the smoke gets in your eyes and you can't breath. ;)

Prince_Ruben just take a look at www.ducatisuite.com/home.html
you will find it very helpful. For your particular questions go into Modifications, and into article 2, 2 valve emission removal.
