can the tachometer be swapped between different models and years? for instance, would this 748 tach work on my 00 M900?

a screw on my tach face has come loose and is driving me insane bouncing around in there. i know it is a sealed unit, so i'm not sure if anything can be done. just looking for a cheap way of fixing this problem, i dont want to pay $$$ for a new tach.

I don't know about the 748 tach but can't you just the face of the tach right above the screw hole. Then you shake the screw loose and screw it back in. Then seal the hole. Just a thought.
