The position of your earth grounding cable, hopefully on a carbed M900.The earth bolts to the motor behind the oil breather on the right side rear.

My question: Where does the other end of the wire terminate? Mine appears to slide over one of the bolts that attach the factory rearsets to the frame, though there's no nut holding it on.

If someone can check their's I'd very much appreciate it.

Yo Az,

Mine has a nut on the back side of the rear-set bolt that holds the ground strap firmly in place.

I've never noticed that wire that grounds the engine to the frame before. It's only about three inches long, so there's only one place it could go. Mine has a nut behind it holding it in place.

Sounds like you had a nut vibrate loose and fall off of your bike.

Thanks, guys. You know, I've had those rearsets off several times and never noticed a nut back there. Perhaps that earth cable has just been hanging on all this time. :p

Guess I'll see if I can get a good ground first. Hopefully everything else will come together.
