i'd want to look at the guts of one of these cans to see how they split the single input to dual output. if it's a smooth "Y" transition, then it wouldn't be essentially different than any other aftermarket can. if they do it by dumping the single input into a chamber with two outputs, the result would be more backpressure than typical aftermarket cans. in either case, i'd be interested in dyno-results.

black widow also makes dual-output cans for the 748/9*6, but i don't think they make them for the monster lineup.

ps - high mount? low-mount? pics installed on a monster?...

I had the blue flame dual port high mount oval carbon can on my speed triple. Incredible sounding pipe. It gave my triple a super low grumble at idle and roared on the throttle. Construction on the carbon version was top notch, very clean. Glassy smooth carbon with a nifty 3-D flame badge, no text...nice if you like a clean look. Ordered from my dealer took 6 days from the UK and only cost 325!! Literally took 15 minutes to swap. If my monster would have had a stock exhaust when I bought it, I would have gone blue flame. If it made a triumph sound that mean, I would love to hear what it would do on a monster.

good luck

i'm thinking you're going to be paying an extra $100-$200 just to be different if the link is an indicator of pricing. for that kind of money i'm not a fan of using pipe clamps to attach slip-ons but i do dig the blued titanium look of the pipe.

"HOLY MARK-UP BATMAN!!!!"....

go to http://www.blueflameexhaust.com to buy direct from the manufacturor and save some dough compared to the vendor linked in the first post. the carbon units are especially less expensive. damn...

doesn't look like they've got high-mounts for the M though unless they just don't have the info on the site.

Can anyone stress enough how important it is to do your research before you buy anything?
ESPECIALLY for your Ducati.....

I have actually had manufacturers tell me that they don't make certain parts for "Other" bikes because their owners don't have the money.
Is it that they don't have the money or are we just getting hosed?

We became targets when we bought Italian.

GOOD find s4strati

Yup, I saw that before I posted but they don't show the dual ports, that's why I posted the other link. I have emailed the manufacturer to find out what exactly they offer (highs/low) and for the pricing differences. Once I get a reply I'll post it on this thread. One other ?? though, (I am a newbie and haven't even seen the bike I just purchased) all prices listed for Monster exhausts are for the dual pipes right? Not priced individually like speakers and other stuff? Thanks for the answer to my stupid question.

only time you'll see a price that doesn't apply to TWO cans is if you're looking at a 2-into-1 system like those offered by sil motor. such a system routes the headers from both cylinders into one pipe (instead of two) to use a single muffler. advantage is additional weight reduction. disadvantage is that you may actually LOSE power compared to a dual-exhaust setup (go figure).
