For those of you that didn't read the other threads.

Took bike in for battery swap.
Turns out leaking gas tank. 3 weeks. New tank is black.

Still have the GS battery. What did I tell ya'.

I hate to tell all of you "senna" guys, but the black looks super sharp.

Here we go.

I think it goes great with the RX-8.

BTW, if this is an accessory/mod feel free to move it, I just realized.

Gotta admit, it looks sweet. But I'll keep my Senna.

Ducgasm:

Awesome! Much rather have the black with red wheels. Have you thought about investing some elbow grease and making the header pipe shine? Black, red, and shiny somehow go together.

Love the bike! Great job!

How much is it to paint the wheels in a different color on average?

The bike looks great BTW.

Than on to painting the frame etc.

Tom.

I would be really interested in this if I didn't have plenty to do already. I am also really interested in getting the lips of the rims polished, too. Now I know what you are all thinking...Bling, and I know, but I think it would look really tight, regardless. ;)

I didn't get the wheels painted. and they aren't painted, they are powder coated. Now as far as what that means, I dunno but I think its fancy paint.

When I was looking at a dark model, the dealer told me for $300 I could get the wheels painted red.

I like the black. You've got me thinking... Mine's Senna/red. I have a small dimple in the tank, could be just the excuse I need to do something different.

ally, don't be molesting my bike with your eyes. The radiator is like a rack...and its got a nice one.

I've been interested in getting my wheels painted. How does the process work, do most dealers paint them or do I have to go to a paint shop?
dealer was going to have them painted locally. Justa heads up, don't get any paint, polish stuff done at the dealer. They only serve as the middle man. Just ask around at bike nights. Everybody has a "guy" that can do it. Do your own research and save some $.
