My fabricator can make these hoops via CNC machining of 6061 T6 billet for $500, possibly less depending on how many are ordered. I'm going to have one fabricated soon and will be able to post what it looks like and verify that it does the job. Leg dimensions will be the same as the Rizoma ones, so strength will not be an issue. I'll ride it aroung a bit just to make sure, though. 
Preliminary drawing is shown below. Final dimensions will be taken from my stock piece, except for leg dimensions, which will be taken from a Rizome peice on a friend's M900.
Please give me an indication of how many of you want these. I'll get a final price and handle orders and distribution (fabricator is doing this after hours -- with permission -- so doesn't have the resources to handle individual orders). I'm going to require a deposit of at least one third to place your order.
