I'm like 50/50 for tomorrow night. If I go, I'll post. But it won't be till the last minute.

btw, I caught up with the S&W group Sunday (nice people) after I rode the Crest. Bruce ("be"), asked me if I'd look at his 2002 750. He wanted to know what the corrosion was on the left side of the vertical cylinder...

He's a good sport though, sees this as an opportunity to trade up.

Hey Mark,

More or less. Oceanside is so busy (and short handed), I Amtraked down there with some tools and rode the baby home. They had most of the parts in, so I put on what I needed to ride home, and picked up the rest later. It's going to work out fine. As part of the "restoration", I now have CycleCat clip-ons, a mag front wheel, and 998r rotors (to match my 4 pad calipers). And since I'm now doing the work, I'll have some cash left over for the "955" fund.

But the bike is complete, and very ridable. I'm just waiting on some "Foggy" decals, and other cosmetics to finish it off.

How you doing? Let's do a end-of-summer Monster Palomar ride?

Since you mentioned it, let me tell you what happened with the battery. I brought the bike to BH Ducati yesterday and they confirmed the leak, replaced the battery under warranty and are waiting to hear back from Ducati regarding the damage to the engine casing, some bolts and some other parts. Thanks again for your help on that.

So who is going tonight? If my plans fall thru I am thinking about heading down. Is there a designated Monster meeting place?

I'm gonna go and I think Ted (S4R) is too.

No special "Monster" meeting or parking place. But if you get there early, DON'T park too far inside. They stack 'em three, four, five deep.

The location is Bravo Burger, at 19102 Beach Blvd. It's just past Garfield on the left side coming from the 405 fwy.

We're going to be there around 7:30 or 8.
