Best perf. mod under 500$ (after cans/jet kit)

OK, what's the best mod to a 900 carbe'd duck after slip ons, dyno-jet kit and open air filter? Some say lighter flywheel (200$) and others say 11:1 pistons (290$)....Any comments. Assuming a person is capable to do all the work themselves!

After just doing it a couple of weeks ago, I have to vote for changing to 15/41 sprockets. It just makes everything better from acceleration to drivability.

It is not the same as just staying in a lower gear.
