Just wondering what you folk think is the coolest looking Duke ever?

For me the 1997 916SP.

geez its a toss up between the 999 and the multistradas..... cant decide

yeah right  Nitrox I'm with you, it has to be a 916.... not only classic styling that IMO is still current today, but it has _the_ story and history to boot...

In "human" terms the 916 is a babe ;). , An absolute stunner in more ways than just looks.

Cheers

in this month's issue of english Bike, there's an article:
Official: THE MOST BEAUTIFUL BIKE OF ALL TIMES

not surprisingly, two of Massimo Tamburini's creations are there: @ No4 is MV Agusta F4
.......and @ No! is Ducati 916

i personally like the MV better, but as far as ducati's go, 916 is the king; for my money

Not really sure if you could ever say they are the most beautiful, but they were my first memory of Ducatis, and as such evoke a certain emotion each time I see them.

The 1972 750 Imola Desmos, as made famous by Paul Smart and Bruno Spaggiari.

Classic Ducati, old school style. [thumbsup]

If I had the dollars, my first choice was the Brutale 910. But me being a poor barstard i still got a nice bike called well........ a Monster. Though the Brutale has a inline 4 motor so not quite the personality of a V-twin. [thumbsup]

i like your thinking [clap]

seriously, can't say much about 910R as there was no demo at the time; there's a comparo in this months MotorCycle
but the 750 goes for >22K and is FUN but not enough to take me from my monster. maybe 910 (26K) would do the job?

but i'm thinking '07 S4R gray/black wheels :-X

Now your talking. It would take a lot for me to go back to a 4cylinder.
But I've been arround long enough to never say never.
I'll keep my S2R1K for at least a year or three! [laugh]
If the Ducati love affair sticks, I think the new S4R Testa sounds cool.
Just keep me in mind for parts if you decide to sell your S2R.

that might not happen as the bulk - if not all - of the mods i can take to the S4R and trade in mint stock standard bike with a custom paint job
......but thanks for the offer

get the cf arrows, ohlins from don kyle @ www.kyleracing.com (top guy, best price i could find and realistic shipping charges) and you'll be a happy man. you've got a great bike already
