Best Airfilter for Open Airbox

I just ordered a PCIII for my M800. Should be arriving in a few days.

Already have a pair of Sil Motor low mounts. With the addition of the Powercommander, I was hoping to open my airbox to complete the setup.

For those of you with an open airbox, which is the best air filter to use?
In addition, any suggestions when it comes to online vendors selling air filters would also be helpful.

I prefer K&N. The main thing is to use a gauze type filter like K&N instead of a paper element filter. With an open airbox, a a paper filter can get wet and disintegrate rather quickly if you hit a rain shower.
