I have a 2006 S2R1000. Bike has been sitting awhile so I changed the oil, filter, fluids, plugs, and the belts. I want to double check the installation of the belt/pulley alignment. I’m thinking of removing the plugs, putting the bike in gear, turning rear wheel by hand. Will this work?

Yes , you can roll the engine over using the rear wheel with the spark plugs out and the marks you put on the belt and pulleys will line back up, but they don’t line up every revolution of the engine. If you roll it over a few times and the marks never line up you did something wrong.
