I was wondering, who do you all recommend for maintenance on your monsters? I know Duc Marin and Munroe have shops, but are there any others in the area (I live in East Palo Alto)?

Also, who would you go to for a tire change if it's someone different from your mechanic? I got a nail this weekend.

For service I go to Desmoto Sport on 9th st in SF. Great indy shop, been going there for years. For tires I go to Subterranean Cycles on Geary Street in SF. Good prices and a cool bunch there as well.

Don't forget Nichols Manufacturing in Milpitas (http://www.nicholsmfg.com/). I take all of my Ducati service work there.

For tires, I take the wheels off myself and have Cycle Gear install new tires for me. It's not that hard to take a wheel off.

If I lived in E. Palo Alto I would definitely go to Nichols.

For tires I went to Road Rider in San Jose last time - the little time it takes them to change the tires on you can spend browsing in the shop - they have plenty of stuff. Call ahead to see if they have the tire you want.

I was pleased and it cost me about half as much, plus she was really nice. nothing (due to her) has fallen off since. all my screws, yeah, but nothing else
plus it's a realy cool neighborhood. has lots of character. my friend took his 750 sport in and saw a carjacking in the middle of the day.
