I am looking for some advise with regards to battery damage on my 2000' 600 Monster.
A few weeks ago I took my bike out of storage just to discover battery acid damage on my frame and engine.
Most of the other discussions talk obout getting the frame sandblasted and resprayed.
But very little is said about fixing the engine damaged left by the leaky battery.

I am planning on stripping the bike down to the frame and following the advice as posted on some of the other disccusions. After that I am having the frame abd tank resprayed.
I am also going to tail-chop the bike before respaying it.
I have two questions:
1. How do I go about fixing the engine damage?
Just for the record I am also planing on putting on a new visor, as well as sealed unit battery, other options right now is perhaps K&N filters but th rest is open for discussion.

Sorry, there are no shortcuts for fixing this permanently.
You have to remove it seriously or damage will grow back.
