I was looking around Part411.com for leather pants and found that the Teknic Thunder pants are only $163. It seems like a good deal to me even if I have to buy knee pucks separately for 30 bucks or so. But i'm wondering...

1. Is goatskin any good?

2. I know armor is always a good idea, but will I miss the knee armor?

Thanks.

They don't have knee armor, or do you mean they just don't come with pucks. You do want knee armor... in fact, you want all the armor you can get.

No FHE with Teknic.

PS: I'll show you the knees on my pants the next time we're out - them aren't marks you want to have on your knees

I have one of their jackets made from goatskin, the only thing I've noticed is that goatskin is not as supple as cowskin. The jacket is kind of stiff. I'm not sure the pants would be real comfortable. I'd check them out first before buying.

I ordered a Technic suit, but had to send it back because it was too small. What I noticed:

It was very supple.
The armour was prodigous and felt protective.

Goatskin is not as shred resistant as Moo-gear, however.
