Last time I lubed my throttle cables, I noticed the cables had cut into the nylon block they slide over in the throttle assembly. I'm thinking about replacing it to reduce the little bit of friction that seems to be caused by the cables cutting down into the material.

Any body ever replaced the OEM throttle with something like Lockhart Philips push-pull type? It's listed as having cables compatible with Mikuni smoothbores and Kehin CR's. On my 95, the throttle doesn't have integral switches and looks to be pretty much the same item. I figure cables are the only show-stoppers for a swap out like this.

I was wondering if anyone had first hand experience with it or any other aftermarket pieces. Or, will an OEM replacement be the way to go?
