I bent my handlebar on a lowside this past weekend. The shop bent it back into place with a nifty little gadget they called the "Blue Tool." [thumbsup] [clap]

They suggested that instead of just replacing the bar for my 695, I upgrade the bar, the risers, and the top of the triple with the parts from an S2R1000. I admit it's a beefy looking piece. I'm curious if anyone has done this, what their thoughts are, and if they thought the mod was worth it? From what I was told, the parts are about $350 with about 1 to 1.5 hours of work.

Hhhmm, over $500 to do that? I'd hold off for a couple of reasons. For one, you might want to get clip ons in the future and you'll spend less money even if you get Cyclecat clip ons. Secondly, even if you didn't want to get clip ons, you can still get this from Speedymoto which is more expensive sure, but a hell of a lot sexier than oem parts from an S2R IMO.
