So after my ride today, I stopped in at chevron in Poway to get some gas.

Up pulls this badass Porche. Young guy with glasses gets out, walks inside.

As he returns he's like "nice bike dude"

So we get to chatting. Turns out, he's a former AMA superbike racer. Now, I wasn't really clear on his last name though.

It sounded like Amstead, or Amstel, or imstel, or something like that.

Anyone ever heard of this guy?

Nope. I know a Jason Curtis that has a porsche and raced AMA Superbike. About 30, brown hair, silver porsche... Could that be him?

Jason's brother Dale has the silver Porsche and as far as I know Jason is still racing, he had a DNS yesterday at Fontana in Superbike race 1.

What's a DNS?
A DNS (Domain Name System) manages alot of different types of Internet related information by using domain names. Probably the most important thing it does is translating domain names like www.ducatimonster.org) to IP addresses like 204.15.120.8.

The DNS knows that the IP address of ducatimonster.org is the one listed above. [thumbsup]
So as you can see, DNS is an essential component of contemporary Internet use.

Any other questions and I'll need to refer you to my co-workers at the HelpDesk 8)
