Unfortunately, I need to store my bike on the street until I find a garage to rent :-/ . Has anyone tried to use one of the systems that come with a remote pager?

I'm able to park it in sight of my apartment and wanted to hear how well the pager worked before I shelled out any dough. I know it won't stop a professional, but I think it would give me some of mind.

Can anyone recommend a system?

I'm thinking about getting one as well. Aerostitch sells a couple that sound decent. Probably will end up with a Gorilla. I'll let you know how it works out.

I don't have a recommendation offhand, but I'd start reading the Brit mags. Stolen bikes is a huge issue over there in Blighty and just about every issue I read in Bike Magazine and Ride Magazine has some kind of review on ways to keep your bike safe, including alarms, disc locks, anchors, etc. Good luck!

I have a STRONG recommendation: The Scorpio alarm.

It's small, lightweight, waterproof, easy to install, and the remote works WELL. You can also adjust its sensitivity to match your current environmental needs.

I've had one on my S4 for 2 1/2 months. Absolutely zero problems.

HIGHLY recommended.
