went to Westechester BMW to look at bikes, test rode the new Rockster and almost decided to defect (haven't ridden the Monster in a week). But then came home, looked at my bike for a while with a Rockster brochure in one hand, then rode the Monster and BMW lust faded away.
While BMW bikes still feel more substantial to me, and maybe if I lived on the West Coast and could put 10-20K miles annually on the bike the BMW would be my choice, I usually only ride on weekends and my average trip is about 100 miles, and the BMW just doesn't stand a chance against monster's overall design, agility and feel.
So Monster stays in my garage.
But otherwise - I was pleasantly surprised by Rockster's handling, power and BRAKING - man, does this bike STOP!!!
