I am planning on installing one of those leather tool bags the Harley types like on the forks below the head light.
no fringe, no studs or spikes, BTW.

I noticed that this may block most of the air flow between the forks legs to the oil cooler & rectifier. Do you guys think this is a big deal?

What kind of tool bag did you find? I've been looking for one to do something very similar, but haven't found on that goes with the bike. Any pics?

I do not remember the brand but I saw it at Cycle Gear this weekend. It is $59.99, VERY thick heavy quality leather. The design I have my eye on is very clean with just chrome buckles. I have not checked it for fit since it is too cold and wet to ride anyways.

The fork tool bags work good/fit, shop around they can be had for as little $29 bucks!
