Hey everybody,

I'm a new rider and I have a 2005 monster s2r 800. Today I removed the exhaust up to the catalytic converter so I could get a better sound and so I could see the rear tire better. I love the look and the sound, but should I be worried about running too lean and hurting my engine? Do I need to get my bike tuned differently? I'd appreciate any information anybody has.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the running too lean thing. Yes you probably will be running too lean.
Yes, if you don’t do something you’ll probably damage the engine.
You may not be able to find a tune for it because everyone else uses mufflers, and the custom tunes available are for use with a full exhaust .
