What does puttin a lowering link in the rear entail? Do I need to take the weight off the spring? Can I do it while its on the kickstand or do I need a rear stand. I lowered the front for clip-ons which is why I'm doing this. Is that correct?

Thanks,
Mike

You would need to get the weight off the rear suspension. Sidestand or rearstand won't do it.

Hang the rear end from the roof of your garage with a couple of tie downs.

A small scissor jack on top of the rear wheel and you can unload the suspension without hanging (dropping) the bike from the rafters, assuming you have rafters.....

I don't have rafters however I do have a spare hot air balloon handy. That sounds like a plan and not too hard. Thanks
