I am hoping some folks may have some recommendations for me.

As I roll on the throttle and Climb into the powerband, the torque curve seems to flatten out (that is not what seems unusual). At that point, I shift and the engine seems to fall flat on its face. After a brief moment it comes back and all is normal.

As a test, I do the same exercise w/o shifting and the same thing happens.

Has anyone else experienced the same thing? I am guessing this has to do with carb tuning. I am either starved of fuel or getting too much... or something else is going on.

Some Background:
The bike is pretty close to stock with the exception of some slip-on mufflers.

Any advice would be much appreciated

I had a similar problem this winter with my Husky. WOT, and eventually it would fall flat on it's face - almost bog down. Ended up being a jetting issue. It was running really lean with the super dense cold air.

Just a thought.

My '94 M900 did the same thing and it turned out to be jetting. Did you just install the slip ons or make any other changes recently? You might also want to check/replace the spark plugs and air filter.
