Buying a seat was truly the best mod I've done to the Monster. I could not ride more than an hour or so at a time and being pushed up against the tank did not agree with my nether regions on any bumps. I know some on here have been able to deal with it, but I hated the seat so much I was thinking about selling the bike after a month until I bought a Corbin. Just my opinion...

Here's the way I see it, if I was traveling hundreds of miles a day, maybe a $350 seat would be worth it. But since I don't, it's not. As the other guys have said, I've gotten used to it.
