I've read a few posts regarding lowering the gearing on the 620, but has anybody tried raising it slightly, such as one or two teeth less on the rear sprocket? My commute to work is about 30 minutes of freeway blasting where 70 mph equates to 5k rpms. Not bad, but just a bit buzzy. By the way, this is my first Ducati after years of lusting after one and I absolutely love it! I'm already planning the next purchase of a larger one . . . it's a sickness!!!

Intresting.. I always wished for a sixth gear, even with the stock set up. I belive though the higher gearing would beat you (or the clutch) to death at slow speeds. I have dropped a front tooth and like it mainly for the smoothness around town. It has lowered my "cruising speed" though. That comfortable speed every bike has where everything feels right is about 70 rather than 75.
Top end doesn't seem to have changed too much. I have'nt tried it yet but I think the top speed would be close to the same due to wind drag.
Last weekend I swapped back to the stock gear for a long distance ride. It just takes about 15-20 minutes to change the front sprocket.
