What does the 600 mile service consist of and is it necessary for the dealer to perform for warranty purposes? Thanks.

First service is an oil change and a check of various parts of the bike. Making sure there are no loose bolts, adjusting idle screws if necessary, etc. It does not have to be performed by a dealer. You can do it or an idependant mech can do it. Just make sure you document what and when you did it for warranty purposes later down the road...
