Just droped off my M800 for 6000 mile service and was quoted a fairly steep price. What is a "reasonable" price. FYI apparently I did need new belts. and rear break pads.. Any info would be great..

my last 6000 mile service cost me $1400.00, whats steep to you?

I think most run in the $500 range, give or take $200.

$1400.00! Wow! What all was involved with that service? Im around the $950-1000 mark. How does $500-$700 even come into play?

With the 6K, you get the usual "good stuff" oil, brake, clutch, plugs they, (eastside motor sports) gave me a list. I dont have it off hand. again as I said, I need new belt at $100 a piece as well as rear pads...also Im getting a 14 tooth up front to the tune of 40$ (part only)

my bike needed two valves adjusted. To adjust the valves on the 06 749S you need to remove the heads. Heads also need new gaskets. So on top of the normal $600 or so 6000 mile maintenance charge, I got another $800 for taking the heads off and replacing the gaskets. It was an additional 8hours of shop labor or something like that.

My 6,000 was $340.00

The real joy came at 12,000 - $2,140.00 :'(

I think the next service is 18,000 miles (?) and I've got 900 miles to go.

Looking forward to it :-\

My 18k ended up being just over $400... 24k is just around the corner... Might have to learn how to do the valves myself this winter and invest the "maintenance labor" cost into something else.
340
2140
400

2880 for 18,000 miles

that is a new motor

Why you haters gotta hate? He's got it all worked out.
New motor every 24k miles and he's ahead of the game!
Nevermind the damn details!

I'd consider buying it if someone would say it was in fact there bike. And would comment on the condition.
why do you want a 620?

Are you planning to buy it for the tires?

Nah, it has 9540 miles on it. I bet the front tire is still stock. The rear pilot power looks new enough. ;)
Jon, whats wrong with your bike?
